MYSTERY Sgt. Maloney of the Beartown Police Department got a 911 call from the dispatcher just moments ago. Someone reported hearing two men arguing and then gunshots. Maloney sped to the scene, and seeing nothing unusual outside, he cautiously entered the house through the open front door with his gun drawn. He found a man in a paramedic's uniform leaning over a man who was obviously dead or mortally wounded from a severe gunshot wound to the face. Sgt. Maloney paused for a brief moment. Then he ordered the paramedic up against the wall and began to read him his Miranda rights while handcuffing him. What are at least two reasons Maloney had for suspecting foul play?

One snowy night, Sherlock Holmes was in his house sitting by a
fire. All of a sudden a snowball came crashing through his window,
breaking it.
Holmes got up and looked out the window just in time to see three neighborhood kids who were brothers run around a corner. Their names were John Crimson, Mark Crimson and Paul Crimson. The next day Holmes got a note on his door that read "? Crimson. He broke your window." Which of the three Crimson brothers should Sherlock Holmes question about the incident? "?" = question MARK, so the note on the door reads "Question Mark Crimson. He broke your window."
